Excel files shared by email, multiple versions, manual entry errors

Before MeteoESLC, DJU calculation and temperature tracking were entirely manual: copy-pasting Météo France data into Excel, emailing the file to each stakeholder, managing multiple versions (v1, v2, v2_final…), correcting entry errors after distribution. This recurring process took several hours per month — with a single-person dependency.

MeteoESLC replaces all of this with a single source of truth. As soon as a .data file from Météo France is dropped into the watched folder, Chokidar detects it (polling every 5s) and ingests it into MongoDB Atlas in under 10 seconds — no duplicates thanks to the unique index (station, date). All 4 business views are instantly up to date for every user, from any workstation.
